 On Saturday morning (8/2) at the Beacon Clay Courts, Lexi Silk won the 2025 GTA Women's Singles event, winning 19 of 20 games.  Suzanne Baxter took the runner-up prize with 13 games.

A new champion was crowned at the BEACON CLAY COURT CLASSIC championships on a hot and humid Friday afternoon (7/25). Charlie Huskra beat Thomas Unkles 6-2, 6-1 in a very competitive match. Thanks to Tournament sponsor West County Cider and Greenfield Tennis Association

The Annual People's Pint doubles tournament was held this weekend (July 12 &13), sponsored by The People's Pint and the Greenfield Tennis Association and played at Highland and Beacon Street courts. There were 13 teams in the tourney and the winners were Brian Lamore and Brian Campbell over Jared Berthiume and Dave Reading, 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 to decide it with a ten point tiebreaker. In the consolation round, the winners were Terry Plotkin and JJ White over Matt Guiltinan and Peter Ghitman, 4-6, 7-6, and 10-8 in the final ten point tiebreaker.

As always, thank you to Greenfield's DPW for their good work to help maintain these beautiful courts in collaboration with volunteers from the Greenfield Tennis Association.

On Saturday morning, October 26th, 15 volunteers pulled the lines, hammered the nails out, rolled up the lines and put the lines in containers for the Greenfield DPW to pick up.

 The GTA Doubles League Finals were played Wednesday September 25th at the Highland Clay courts. Two excellent matches.

A Division
The Bratts, (Peter Ghitman, Jared Berthiaume, Robert Cotter, Bruce Schwartz, Sam Thomson, Ted Diamond) defeated Charlie's Angels, (Jackie Bagwell, Charlie Huskra, Sally Gladstone)  7-5, 6-3.

The Racqueteers, (Craig Cohen, Rich Corey, Ken Hubbard, JJ White, Jim Welch)  defeated Wacky Wally World (Doug Andrew, Josh Michal, Steve Perry) 7-6(7-5), 7-5.

The Peoples Pint Doubles Championships results are in...Here's the official tournament results from Tournament Director Alden Booth.

The People's Pint annual doubles tournament took place this weekend, (September14-15). Fifteen Teams entered with players from all around Franklin County and beyond. Thanks to the GTA and Greenfield's DPW, the clay courts at Highland and Beacon were in excellent condition. In the finals Dave Reading and Jared Berthiaume defeated Alden Booth and Chris Ferriter, 6-2, 6-4 with the consolation round winners being the father-son duo of Chris and Gabe Seaver defeating Alexis Silk and David Hernandez, 6-3, 6-1.
The GTA will hold its final doubles tourney, the Fall Classic, the weekend of September 28 & 29. To register, contact Harry Bovio at Hbovio@yahoo.com.
