The 2021 GTA Doubles League enjoyed another fun and competitve year. Congratulations to the 2021 champions, TT and the Hounds (Tim,Trevor, Jim and Mike). They had 314 points. Second place went to The Claymeisters  (Steve, Henry, Harry and Joe ) with 312 points and Third place was a tie with 311 points. The teams were The Pied Pipers ( Alden, Jay, Lissa and Paul ) and Beluga ( Kyle, Bill and Denise ).

The 2021 Tennis season in Franklin County unofficially came to a close this past weekend with the conclusion of the annual FALL CLASSIC Doubles Tournament at Highland Park. In the main draw the team of Tom Suchodolski and Eli Ji defeated Steve Plotkin and John Zeber, 6-2, 7-5 for the championship and in the Consolation draw Bob Anderson and Tim Lamore beat Steve Stone and Brian Macewen, 6-2, 7-6 (5). A record 16 teams entered the tourney capping another banner year for tennis in Greenfield. All season the clay courts have been packed with tennis players from all over western Mass. to play on the city's historic red clay courts. Tournament sponsor Greenfield Tennis Association would like to thank the City of Greenfield Department of Public Works, Greenfield Recreation, Mesa Verde Restaurant, Tournament Co-Directors, Mike Bassett, Tim Prevost, Brian Lamore, Larry Klein and all the tennis players for supporting clay court tennis in Greenfield.
