The
Annual People's Pint doubles tournament was held this weekend (July 12 &13),
sponsored by The People's Pint and the Greenfield Tennis Association and
played at Highland and Beacon Street courts. There were 13 teams in the
tourney and the winners were Brian Lamore and Brian Campbell over Jared Berthiume and Dave Reading, 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 to decide it with a ten
point tiebreaker. In the consolation round, the winners were Terry
Plotkin and JJ White over Matt Guiltinan and Peter Ghitman, 4-6, 7-6,
and 10-8 in the final ten point tiebreaker.
As
always, thank you to Greenfield's DPW for their good work to help
maintain these beautiful courts in collaboration with volunteers from
the Greenfield Tennis Association.
