HIGHLAND DOUBLES FALL CLASSIC
September 29th and 30th 2012
at the Highland Park Tennis Courts
The final tournament of 2012 will begin on Saturday 29th. Players should arrive by 9:30 please. Match play begins approximately 10:00 AM with a break at mid-day for a light lunch and then afternoon matches. The event will wrap-up on Sunday the 30th with the finals. Be prepared to play through-out the weekend.
Water, tennis balls and food will be provided.

The Greenfield Clay Court Preservation Tournament is
rapidly approaching- June 30 and the sun will shine. No
pre-registration is necessary. On Saturday morning, come with numerous tennis
friends interested in having a fun day of tennis while helping to preserve the
beautiful clay courts of our community. Registration will start at 8:45 am at
Beacon Field courts, play will start by 9 :30. As past years, the format is
open doubles (kids/men/women of all ages) with randomly assigned partners for
the first round. We will have several rounds in the course of the day, and
partners will rotate with each round. Lunch is included with your registration
(courtesy of Federal St. Subway) and Bicycles Unlimited is supplying all the
balls. We will finish by mid afternoon.
Registration for the tournament will be $10 for GTA members, $20 for
nonmembers- truly a bargain for a fun day of tennis w friends, knowing you are
helping to preserve clay court tennis for Greenfield. You can purchase your
2012 GTA membership same day.

Spring has definitely sprung and we are all eagerly awaiting the preparation and opening of our historic 9 clay courts for the season.
Our "Clay Court Preservation Tournament" will occur on June 30 this year. It is always a fun day for players of ALL abilities, a lot of tennis, an opportunity to meet new tennis friends and help support clay court tennis in Greenfield.

Mixed Doubles Tourney, Greenfield MA
When: Saturday, September 10, 9:30-1:00
Where: Highland Park Courts
Format: 8 Teams maximum (so sign up early). Matches will be 8 game pro sets, (winning 8 games wins the match). There will be a consolation bracket so your team keeps playing if you lose. Lunch at 1:00 - bring food and drink and we can have some time to socialize. Trophies for two top teams.
Fee: $5.00 per person (GTA members) $10.00 (non-members).
All proceeds benefit the clay court preservation.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - The US Open trip planned for August 31 has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. We still have tickets to sell however for those interested in finding their way down to Flushing Meadow on their own.
