 The 2021 FALL CLASSIC couldn't have had better weather and the turnout proved it. Here's the field before the action started....

The 2021 Tennis season in Franklin County unofficially came to a close this past weekend with the conclusion of the annual FALL CLASSIC Doubles Tournament at Highland Park. In the main draw the team of Tom Suchodolski and Eli Ji defeated Steve Plotkin and John Zeber, 6-2, 7-5 for the championship and in the Consolation draw Bob Anderson and Tim Lamore beat Steve Stone and Brian Macewen, 6-2, 7-6 (5). A record 16 teams entered the tourney capping another banner year for tennis in Greenfield. All season the clay courts have been packed with tennis players from all over western Mass. to play on the city's historic red clay courts. Tournament sponsor Greenfield Tennis Association would like to thank the City of Greenfield Department of Public Works, Greenfield Recreation, Mesa Verde Restaurant, Tournament Co-Directors, Mike Bassett, Tim Prevost, Brian Lamore, Larry Klein and all the tennis players for supporting clay court tennis in Greenfield.
